Residents are invited to an open house Thursday, January 28 to learn about the City's efforts to reduce the risk of sanitary sewer backups. The open house is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Huntington Elementary School, 2900 N. 46th St.
In October 2014 and May 2015, heavy rainfall caused sanitary sewer backups in several Lincoln locations. The City Public Works and Utilities Department will give presentations at 6:15 and 7:15 p.m. on efforts that are under way, and staff will share information on how individual homeowners can reduce the risk of sewer backups in the future.
