The Beal Slough sanitary sewer project on Highway 2, between South 33rd and 56th streets, will begin at 7 a.m. Monday, July 22. No streets or trails will be closed at that time. The public will be notified of closures as work progresses.
Installation of a new sanitary sewer line will provide additional capacity to southeast Lincoln. The new line will parallel the existing line, and the project includes the replacement of existing sewer line with a larger diameter pipe. Some tree removal may occur, but the flower beds under the power line towers will not be affected. The project is scheduled to be completed in June 2020.
Lincoln Transportation and Utilities appreciates the public's patience during this project.
