The Cable Television Advisory Board will hold a public hearing on Time Warner Cable issues beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27 in the City Council Chambers, 555 South 10th Street. The Lincoln City Council passed a resolution directing the board to conduct a performance evaluation of Time Warner Cable, and the hearing is part of that evaluation. Specific issues being addressed include the programming guide and DVR (digital video recorder) software. The hearing will be cablecast on 5 CITY-TV, the government access cable channel. Speakers will be allowed five minutes each to comment. In addition to the public hearing, citizens may comment in the following ways:

All meetings for the Cable Television Advisory Board are open to the public. Members of the Cable Television Advisory Board are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council. The board monitors the local cable company, considers complaints against the cable franchise, makes recommendations on cable policy issues and recommends policy for access channels. |
