Lincoln Awarded $400,000 for Biochar Initiative Published on June 29, 2022 Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and Bloomberg Philanthropies today announced that Lincoln will receive up to $400,000 in funding and technical support for a project to turn wood waste into biochar, a charcoal-like substance that can be used as a beneficial soil amendment.
City Launches Efforts to Secure Second Water Source Published on June 28, 2022 Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird today announced that the City of Lincoln will conduct a comprehensive study to determine the best solution for Lincoln’s long-term water needs. She also announced the formation of the Mayor’s Water Source Advisory Council, a group of community and business leaders who will advise the City’s efforts to identify and secure a second source of water.
North 14th Street from Adams to Superior Streets Now Closed Published on June 27, 2022 North 14th Street from Adams to Superior streets is now closed for a Lincoln on the Move improvement project. This project is scheduled to be completed August 14.
