    In the County/City Building: 555 South 10 Street, Suite 300

  2. Is the City Attorney elected or appointed?
    The City Attorney is appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council.

  3. Does the City Attorney's Office prosecute law violations?
    Yes. The office prosecutes traffic and misdemeanor violations of the Lincoln Municipal Code issued by the Lincoln Police Department or UNL Police Department. If you have questions, call the City Attorney's Office. You may need to appear in person to speak with a prosecutor. If you qualify for the Safety Training Option Program or Diversion Services, contact Lancaster County Community Corrections

  4. What other type of services does the City Attorney's Office handle?
    The primary programs are civil litigation, general legal services, legislation, prosecution, and administration of the Lincoln Commission on Human Rights.
