Budget Process Updates

The City of Lincoln's 2024-26 budgeting process is now underway. Video of presentations to the City Council of the Mayor's Proposed Budget are available via LNKTV City. The Mayor's Proposed Budget, timeline, and other related documents are available via the Budget Division of the Finance Department.

Lincoln City Council

Lincoln City Council makes laws, approves city budgets, and has authority to audit City agencies. The Lincoln City Council has 7 members, 4 from equally populated districts and 3 elected at large.

The full Council meets most Mondays in regular session at 3:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in the County/City Building. Council committees also meet frequently to discuss and prepare proposed laws. All Council meetings are open to the public.
