City Council Public Meetings Dates and Times


Budget Process Updates

Budget-related City events may be viewed live or recorded via LNKTV. A detailed overview of the budget is available here. Additional documents including calendar, past budgets, and other related documents are available via the Budget Division of the Finance Department. 

City Council voted to adopt the City’s biennial 2024-26 budget on August 26. A resolution setting the tax rate to fund the budget will be introduced at the September 23 Council meeting. A special hearing and Council vote regarding the tax rate will be held September 30. 


Lincoln City Council

Lincoln City Council makes laws, approves city budgets, and has authority to audit City agencies. The Lincoln City Council has 7 members, 4 from equally populated districts and 3 elected at large.

The full Council meets most Mondays in regular session at 3:00 p.m. at the City Council Chambers in the County/City Building. Council committees also meet frequently to discuss and prepare proposed laws. All Council meetings are open to the public.
