Adjacent to the larger houses of East Lincoln/Elm Park Landmark District is this district of smaller bungalows, mostly built between 1910 and 1925. Many were designed and marketed as "starter" homes for new families. One builder advertised–"Marry the girl, then see Edward Gehrke, the Bungalow Man."
