Dear Citizens,

Welcome to the website for the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office, a full service Nebraska law enforcement agency. We are responsible for maintaining peace and enforcing the law in rural areas of Lancaster county including all towns and villages without municipal police departments. The office investigates criminal offenses, traffic accidents, enforces traffic laws, and serves as a representative of the County Coroner in death investigations. Other duties include: collecting delinquent property taxes, execution of complex court orders, serving civil process, serving warrants, extradition of prisoners from other states, transporting jailed prisoners and providing security services to County/District courts and the Hall of Justice.
