Schools, mental health providers, and pediatricians report increase strain and utilization of behavioral health services. Community Partners is Lincoln and Lancaster County are exploring preventive models that build emotional resiliency for youth and those who care for them.

  • SquareOne, a Family Crisis Center, has contracted a provider and is finalizing property purchasing. It will provide significant access to families in critical moments of emotional crisis.
  • LPS YHURT is a multi-disciplinary response team to help address unique needs for LPS students who have significant ongoing concerns to their emotional health.
  • The Six Pillars of Emotional Resiliency video project is a joint partnership with LLCHD, Bryan Health Systems, and CHI Health intended to start a thoughtful, community-wide conversation about the current climate of adolescent emotional health. Through interviews with experts, community members, and parents, this series discusses the current crisis in emotional wellbeing among kids, some of the clearest causes, and useful skills based on “6 Pillars” to help create an emotional safety net for trying times.
  • LLCHD is working to supply all LPS school nurses with Narcan for crisis medical response to a potential overdose.
