Lincoln on the Move is investing in improvements to 70th Street from "O" to Holdrege streets. Pavement improvements include street repair and resurfacing. Additional work with other funding sources includes a proposed pedestrian and bicycle crossing at "X" Street, bike trail crossing enhancements at the MoPac Trail, pedestrian crossing improvements and upgrades to existing curb ramps to comply with federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
This project information is in the early planning stage and is subject to change.
This project is programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project will be funded in accordance with ballot language.
Construction is anticipated to take place in 2028.
This project will require a full closure of 70th Street during construction. Sidewalks closures are expected in various stages of construction.
