Lincoln on the Move is investing in improvements to the following streets in the Ballard Park Neighborhood:
These improvements will include a mill and overlay of the existing asphalt, curb and gutter repairs, and adjusting water valves and manholes to grade. Additional work with other funding sources includes updating sidewalks and curb ramps to comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
This project is programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project will be funded jointly from the Street Improvement Vehicle Tax – Residential Rehab fund (aka-Wheel Tax) and ¼ cent sales tax for streets in accordance with ballot language.
Construction is expected to take place in 2026.
Streets will be closed in areas where work is taking place. Local access will be maintained to the best extent possible.
Sidewalks and curb ramps will be closed during construction. Sidewalk access will be maintained for pedestrians on at least one side of the street.
