Lincoln on the Move is investing in improvements to Touzalin Avenue from Adams Street to Havelock Avenue. Pavement improvements include base repair and street resurfacing. Additional work with other funding sources includes the addition of a new bike lane or bike trail along Touzalin Avenue, pedestrian accessibility improvements and upgrades to existing curb ramps to comply with federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements.
This project information is in the early planning stage and is subject to change.
This project is programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project will be funded in accordance with ballot language.
Construction is anticipated to take place in 2028.
This project will require a full closure of Touzalin Avenue during construction. Sidewalk closures are expected during curb ramp reconstruction.
