Witherbee Neighborhood Street Improvements

Project Summary

This project will improve several streets in the Witherbee Neighborhood:

  • 36th Street from Randolph Street to “J” Street
  • 37th Street from Woods Avenue to “O” Street
  • 38th Street from “J” Street to “L” Street
  • 42nd Street from Randolph Street to “N” Street
  • 45th Street from Randolph Street to “O” Street
  • 46th Street from “M” Street to “O” Street
  • 47th Street from “J” Street to “M” Street
  • “M” Street from 46th Street to 48th Street

Project Location

Funding Details

This project is programmed as a part of the commitment to voters to invest significant sales tax funds into improvement of existing streets. The project will be funded jointly from the Street Improvement Vehicle Tax – Residential Rehab fund (aka-Wheel Tax) and ¼ cent sales tax for street in accordance with ballot language. Until more detailed information is known, the total project estimate and funding split is an assumption.

Schedule

This project began construction in July 2022 and is scheduled to be completed in the fall.

Access During Construction

The streets will be closed to through traffic during construction. Access to individual properties will be maintained. The traveling public is encouraged to find alternative routes and to use the WAZE app for assistance.
