This project will improve approximately 1.6 miles of Cornhusker Highway from 35th Street to L55X. Work may consist of pavement repair, mill and overlay, public utility adjustments, inlet top, base and curb repairs/replacement. Pedestrian ramps will be reconstructed to meet federal and local standards. The project also includes replacement of the traffic signals at the Havelock Avenue/Superior Street intersection.
This project is federally funded.
Construction is tentatively planned for 2027.
The streets will be closed to through traffic during construction. Access to individual properties will be maintained for the majority of construction. The traveling public is encouraged to find alternative routes and to use the WAZE app for assistance.
Sidewalks will be closed to pedestrians during construction.
