Pound Middle School Neighborhood Street Improvements

This project improved several streets in the Pound Middle School Neighborhood. These improvements included a mill and overlay of the existing surface and base repairs where required. The following streets were included:

• Gertie Avenue from South 40th to South 47th streets
• South 44th Street from Gertie Avenue to La Salle Street
• South 45th Street from Gertie Avenue to Pioneers Boulevard
• South 47th Street from Claire Avenue to Pioneers Boulevard
• Claire Avenue from South 47th to South 48th streets

Additional work included upgrades to the existing curb ramps to comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and other miscellaneous construction items.
