The project will construct a tack-on median within the shared lane on South Street to provide a pedestrian refuge and enhance safety for pedestrians crossing the street. Crosswalk markings will also be installed at the crossing location.
Construction is scheduled to take place in fall of 2026.
Lane closures will be needed in the inside lanes during construction. One outside lane will remain open to traffic in each direction.
