14th and Lincoln Mall Pedestrian Crossing Improvements

Project Summary

This project consists of improvements to the northwest and southwest sidewalk ramps by providing "bump outs" to reduce the east/west pedestrian crossing distance across 14th Street. The pedestrian bump outs will be located on the west side of 14th Street and will bring curb-protected walk areas with ADA ramps out into the parking area, allowing a safer stopping space for pedestrians and reducing the crossing distance across 14th Street. Along with the bump outs, stop signs will be added to provide an all way stop for vehicular traffic at the 14th Street and Lincoln Mall intersection.
