Home and Lawn Care

Due to stormwater runoff, many pollutants typical in urban areas have been found in our local waterways. Antelope Creek, Beal Slough, Salt Creek, Holmes Lake, and other streams and lakes in the Lincoln area have been listed as impaired water bodies. An impaired water body is one that does not meet water quality standards due to the recurring presence of one or more pollutants. Many of these pollutants can be reduced when residents make simple, environmentally-friendly changes to their lawn care routines. Together, we can improve the water quality of our local waterways.
