Enjoy a splash of summer fun at our Hydrant Parties!

Each event features hydrant‑powered spray elements that create a refreshing, pop‑up water play experience perfect for all ages.

Guests can also enjoy games and activities supported by community partners including the City of Lincoln, Lincoln Fire & Rescue, Lincoln Police Department, Lincoln City Libraries, NeighborWorks, and local Neighborhood Associations.

The sprayground will take center stage—an energetic, high‑spirited water attraction designed to bring families together, spark joy, and keep everyone cool.

All events run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the following locations: 

• August 10 – Densmore Park parking lot, 6701 S. 14th St. 
• August 14 – UPCO Park parking lot, North 40th and Adams streets 
• August 17 – Arnold Heights Park parking lot, Northwest 54th Street and West Knight Drive 
• August 21 – Roberts Park parking lot, 58th and Sumner streets 
• August 24 – Antelope Park parking lot, 1650 Memorial Drive - south side of Auld Pavilion  

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Because these events take place in parking lots, appropriate footwear is recommended.

This is a no-cost event for attendees. No registration is required.

 

Hydrant Party Guidelines

SAFETY FIRST

• A responsible adult should always be in attendance with children
• Appropriate footwear is recommended
• Glass and other hazardous objects are not permitted near the spray features

PLEASE BE COURTEOUS OF OTHERS

• Do not drink the water from the spray features
• Children who are not toilet-trained must wear a swim diaper
• No animals are allowed near the spray features

HEALTH AND SANITATION ARE IMPORTANT

• Offensive or unsanitary behavior is prohibited
• Running, climbing or rough play is not allowed
• Tobacco, alcohol, food or gum are not permitted near the spray features
• Bikes, skates and skateboards are not allowed
