Caring for Our Trees: Arborist Certification

To ensure the health, beauty, and safety of our urban forest, we require that all professional tree care be conducted by certified arborists (LMC 5.06.020). This ensures that our trees receive expert attention and thrive for generations to come.

Certified arborists are equipped to:

  • Prune and trim trees with precision
  • Address tree health issues, such as decay or disease
  • Safely remove trees when necessary
  • Repair damage and treat injuries to trees
  • Provide expert care and treatment for long-term health

By requiring certification, we prioritize the safety of our community and the well-being of our trees.
