The Lincoln Police Department today announced it will conduct an enforcement project focused on traffic safety and alcohol compliance during University of Nebraska-Lincoln home football games. Using a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office, officers will work overtime to respond to disturbances, address crimes that tend to rise with large gatherings, and patrol streets with an emphasis on identifying and removing impaired drivers.
