LPD Completes O Street Traffic Enforcement Project | Summer 2023

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) today announced it has completed a special project to help reduce traffic crashes and promote motor vehicle safety on O Street during the summer. From May through August, LPD conducted a High Visibility Traffic Enforcement Detail on O Street between 17th and 98th streets. The detail focused on traffic enforcement saturation on nights and weekends to combat the numerous reports of excessive speeds and noise in the area.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office (NDOT-HSO) provided overtime funding for increased enforcement during this detail.
