Published on June 12, 2025

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) has made a second arrest in connection to a shooting in north Lincoln on Saturday, June 7. Officers arrested 33-year-old Terique Jackson of Lincoln on active warrants on Saturday, and he was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.

During the investigation, LPD investigators developed probable cause that Jackson was the person responsible for shooting 32-year-old Cidnei Williams and 41-year-old Anthony Brown, both of Lincoln. Both remain hospitalized for treatment of their injuries from multiple gunshot wounds.

Through multiple interviews, investigators determined Jackson was inside a home in the area of N. 26th and Potter streets with a handgun when he shot Williams and Brown around 10:30 a.m. He then left the residence and got into the vehicle of 55-year-old Donald Handy of Lincoln, along with another man. Jackson laid down on the back floorboard and changed clothes while Handy drove him around the city for several hours, eventually driving to Bowling Lake, where Jackson burned several pieces of clothing.

On Wednesday, June 11, while in jail, Jackson was arrested on additional charges for the shooting:

           1. 1st Degree Assault 28-308 (F2)
           2. 1st Degree Assault 28-308 (F2)
