The Lincoln Police Department Northeast Team today announced it will increase traffic enforcement along “O” Street throughout May. This high-visibility enforcement effort is in direct response to frequent complaints from community members in the area regarding excessive speeding, noise violations, and other reckless driving behaviors. The goal is to reduce dangerous driving, promote safe road use, and respond to long-standing community concerns. The enforcement project is funded by a grant provided by the Nebraska Department of Transportation Highway Safety Office. Drivers are encouraged to slow down, drive respectfully, and avoid unnecessary noise disturbances – especially during evening and overnight hours.
