The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) today announced it will conduct a traffic safety enforcement project March 1 through 26. Officers who have advanced training in traffic enforcement will work throughout Lincoln to monitor areas with high instances of reported and observed traffic offenses. The project is a result of a grant from the Nebraska Department of Transportation-Highway Safety Office to allow officers to work overtime.
