Published on November 05, 2023

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is investigating a fatal crash that happened on A Street, just west of S. 84th Street.

On November 5, 2023, at approximately 5:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of S. 82nd and A Streets on a report of a two-motorcycle crash where each male rider was thrown from his respective motorcycle. When officers arrived, they located both motorcycles and one of the riders in the eastbound lanes of A Street. The other rider was located on the sidewalk in the 8200 block of A Street.

Lincoln Fire & Rescue (LFR) took the rider found in the street to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The first officers on the scene attempted life-saving measures on the rider found on the sidewalk but he was later pronounced deceased after additional life-saving measures were attempted by LFR. A Street is currently closed in both directions from approximately S. 82nd to S. 84th Streets but will reopen once the investigation at the scene is complete.

The LPD investigation is ongoing. Those with information can call our non-emergency number at 402-441-6000 or if you would like to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
