Lincoln Police Investigate Deadly Rollover Crash | I180 & Superior

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is investigating a fatal crash that happened on Interstate 180 (northbound/outbound), just south of Superior Street.

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 2:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to northbound Interstate 180 and Superior Street on a report of a single vehicle accident where the vehicle left the road and rolled into the ditch. When officers arrived, they located a white SUV that had driven off the road, struck several trees and fence posts before rolling and coming to a rest on the roof of the vehicle.

The single occupant of the vehicle, a 73 year-old man from Lincoln, was extracted from the vehicle by Lincoln Fire & Rescue and pronounced deceased at the scene. Interstate 180 is currently closed for northbound traffic but will open once the investigation at the scene is complete.
