Lincoln Police Investigating Fatal Shooting | 11th & G

UPDATE (4:15 p.m.) | Following an interview with investigators, the Lincoln Police Department has arrested 53-year-old Jacob Mulloy of Lincoln. He’s been taken to the Lancaster County Jail for second-degree murder and use of a firearm to commit a felony.

The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in southwest Lincoln on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

Just after noon, police were dispatched to 1109 ‘G’ Street on the report of a shooting. The person responsible called 911 to report he had shot another man inside his apartment. The victim, a 52-year-old Lincoln man, was found deceased in the residence with a gunshot wound to the head. The 53-year-old Lincoln man who called police was taken into custody and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

LPD crime scene investigators continue to gather and process evidence at the scene, so we ask the public to find alternate routes until the road is reopened.
