Parks Department Hosts Free Halloween Events in October

The Parks and Recreation Department invites families to a variety of free Halloween events in October. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Costumes are encouraged and activities include snacks, trick or treating, games and prizes.

The events are as follows:

  • Friday, October 27: Fall Festival – 6 to 7:30 p.m., Arnold Elementary School, 5000 Mike Scholl Street. Activities include games, music, pumpkin painting, fire truck visit, food trucks and a free trunk or treat. Tickets for indoor activities $3 in advance or $5 at the door. Contact Dayna Krannawitter at dkranna@lps.org for ticket information. This event is co-hosted with the Arnold Parent Teacher Organization and Community Learning Centers programs.
  • Sunday, October 29: Belmont Treat Street – 1 to 3 p.m., Belmont Recreation Center, 1234 Judson St. Activities include trick or treating and games.
  • Tuesday, October 31: Halloween Carnival and Track or Treat – 5:30 to 7 p.m., “F” St. Community Center, 1225 “F” St. This event is for pre-school through 5th grade youth and includes games and prizes.
