Two Street Closures Scheduled for Week of March 20

Published on March 16, 2023

Portions of two Lincoln streets are scheduled to close the week of March 20. The projects are as follows:

  • Eastbound lane of Adams Street between North 46th and North 48th streets will be moved to the left turn lane beginning Monday, March 20 for water main repair. This work is scheduled to be completed by Thursday, March 30.
  • West “A” Street between Timber Ridge Road and Southwest 27th Street will be closed beginning Monday, March 20 for the last phase of a multi-phase wastewater pipe installation project. This work is scheduled to be completed by Friday, June 30. The recommended detour is Southwest 40th Street to West Van Dorn Street to South Coddington Avenue to West “A” Street. StarTran Route 51-West “A” will be detoured during this work. The route will temporarily end at Southwest 27th and West Washington streets, which will affect three stops. Access to homes will be maintained throughout the duration of the project. This project will serve the growing development in the area.

Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the work zone. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) appreciates the public’s patience during this work. LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
