Published on April 04, 2023

The MoPac Trail at 84th Street will be closed from Wednesday, April 5 through Saturday, April 15 for Lincoln on the Move improvement work on 84th Street. The trailhead parking lot will also be closed through June 3 and there will be no access to the trail via the parking lot. Trail users are advised to avoid the area during construction. No alternative route is available.

The services at the 84th Street trailhead will remain available to cyclists and pedestrians. Vehicles may park at Bethany Park on North 66th and Vine streets, or at the trailhead parking lot on South 98th Street just south of “A” Street.

The Lincoln on the Move project will make improvements to 84th Street between Sandalwood and Elizabeth drives. The project includes a mill and overlay of the existing surface and concrete repairs. Additional work using other funding sources includes pavement markings and upgrades to the existing curb ramps to comply with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. This project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2023. For more information on the project, visit lincoln.ne.gov (search: 84th).
