Published on May 25, 2023

Portions of four Lincoln streets are scheduled to close May 30. The closures are as follows:

  • South 27th Street from Old Cheney Road to Coronado Drive will be closed for a Lincoln on the Move street improvement project. The recommended detour is Old Cheney Road to South 40th Street to Pine Lake Road. This work is scheduled to be completed by June 16.
  • Salt Creek Roadway from North 21st Street to Antelope Valley Parkway will be closed for pavement repairs. The recommended detour is North 21st Street to Transformation Drive to North Antelope Valley Parkway. This work is scheduled to be completed by June 30.
  • Northwest 13th Street from West Keating Drive to Northwest 10th Street will be reduced to one lane for both directions, controlled by a traffic signal, for pavement repairs. Drivers should expect delays. This work is scheduled to be completed by June 9.

Lincoln on the Move is a six-year street investment effort focused on enhancing Lincoln’s street infrastructure that will dedicate an additional $94 million to street projects in Lincoln through 2025.

Digital signs will alert traffic to upcoming work and closures. Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the work zone. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) appreciates the public’s patience during this work. LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
