Public pool season ends at 6 p.m. Sunday
Lincoln Parks and Recreation invites canine residents (and their human companions) to the annual Dog Splash event Sunday, August 13. The event will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Star City Shores, 4375 S. 33rd Court.
The event features an area for small dogs and retrieval activities in the lap lanes. Tickets are $10 per dog (cash only) and will go on sale at 6 p.m. at the front gates. Each dog may be accompanied by up to two adults and one child at least eight years old. When dogs are not in the water, they must be on a leash. People may wade to their knee height. Dog Splash is sponsored by the Lincoln Parks Foundation and the Greater Lincoln Obedience Club.
Parks and Recreation reminds residents that the 2023 pool season ends at 6 p.m. August 13. The following public pools are open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week:
