City Announces Weather-Related Closures, Schedule Changes, January 12

The City of Lincoln today announced closures and schedule changes for Friday, January 12. The changes are as follows:

Aging Partners – All Aging Partners Senior Centers and Fitness Center in Lincoln and Lancaster County are closed. All other Aging Partners services at Victory Park, 600 South 70th Street will begin at noon. More information on Aging Partners and area senior centers is available at aging.lincoln.ne.gov.

Parks and Recreation – All City recreation centers will be open from noon to 5 p.m. The Pioneers Park Nature Center is closed. Preschool is canceled at the Calvert Recreation Center and the Pioneers Park Nature Center due to the Lincoln Public Schools closure.

Lincoln City Libraries – The Bennett Martin Public Library, 136 South 14th St., will be open from noon to 6 p.m. All other Lincoln City Libraries locations are closed. The Lied Bookmobile will not be in service. For the latest updates on all LCL services, visit lincolnlibraries.org.

StarTran – Bus service is expected to run as normal with the possibility of five to 10-minute delays due to weather conditions. Download the RideLNK app to track StarTran buses in real time for minute-to-minute bus updates.

Recycling – All City recycling sites will be closed from Friday, January 12, to Monday, January 15. Sites will not be serviced during this time. For more information on recycling locations, visit lincoln.ne.gov (search: recycle).
