Portions of “A” Street to Temporarily Close Beginning October 2

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of “A” Street will temporarily close beginning Tuesday, October 2, for pavement assessments.

The closures are as follows:

• “A” Street between 48th and 56th streets will have daily lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 2, through Friday, October 4.

• Eastbound “A” Street between 40th and 48th streets will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Thursday, October 3. The recommended detour is 40th Street to South Street to 48th Street. Local access to homes in the area will be maintained.

StarTran Route 54-Veteran’s Hospital will be detoured during this work. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit lincoln.ne.gov/transit or call 402-476-1234.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
