Portions of Three Streets to Temporarily Close Beginning April 3

Portions of three Lincoln streets will temporarily close beginning Wednesday, April 3. The closures are as follows:

  • North Eighth Street from “Q” to “P” streets will be closed from 3 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 only for a special event. StarTran Route 55-Downtown Trolley will be detoured during this event. The recommended detour is “Q” Street to North Seventh Street to “P” Street.
  • Canopy Street from “R” to “Q” streets will be closed until 8 a.m. Saturday, April 6 for a special event. The recommended detour is “R” Street to North Seventh Street to “Q” Street.
  • Westbound West Highland Boulevard from Northwest First to Northwest Seventh streets will be closed until April 12 to continue work on a Lincoln on the Move street improvement project. The recommended detour is Northwest First Street to West Fletcher Avenue to Northwest 12th Street.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around the closures. Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) appreciates the public’s patience during these closures. LTU project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
