Older Adults Invited to Aging Partners Events December 1 Through 5

Aging Partners invites older adults and the public to a variety of activities and classes in Lincoln and Lancaster County from December 1 through 5:

 

Monday, December 1

  • Holiday craft series; make your own festive bar of soap, Belmont Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Making paper snowflakes, Northeast Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • Fit for Fun BINGO, Victory Park Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Stretch and Tone with Kelle, Washington Street Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • Chair exercises, Firth Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • “New Business and Helping Seniors Maintain Independence and Freedom” Presentation by Cynthia Consbruck, Sovereignty Home Care, Firth Senior Center – 12:15 p.m.
  • Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention (Level II), American Lutheran Church – 10 a.m.
  • Dance for Life, American Lutheran Church – 1:30 p.m.
  • Chair Yoga, Eastridge Presbyterian Church – 9:30 a.m.

 

Tuesday, December 2

  • “Famous People of Nebraska” presentation by Jackie Strahan, Eiseley Branch Library, Belmont Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Chair yoga with certified yoga instructor Chery Bieber, Belmont Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • A Victorian Christmas: learn about the Christmas traditions that started during the Victorian Era that we still do today, Northeast Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Wii Bowling, Victory Park Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Search for the hidden pictures, Washington Street Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • More games, brain teasers and adult coloring, Bennet Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • Increase your flexibility with chair exercises, Bennet Senior Center – Noon
  • Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention (Level I), Eastridge Presbyterian Church – 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Qigong Refresh and Recharge class, American Lutheran Church – 9:30 a.m.

  • “Tips, Tricks, and Recipe Ideas for using an Air Fryer” presentation by Devin Mueller, Aging Partners Nutrition Specialist, Washington Street Senior Center – Noon
  • Blood pressure checks by Traditions Health (Lincoln), Hickman Senior Center – 10 to 11 a.m.
  • Live music with Denise Howe, Hickman Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • “New Business and Helping Seniors Maintain Independence and Freedom” Presentation by Cynthia Consbruck, Sovereignty Home Care, Hickman Senior Center – 12:15 p.m.
  • Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention (Level II), American Lutheran Church – 10 a.m.

  • Musical performance by Mary Link, Northeast Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Special project with students from St. Joseph Catholic School, Washington Street Senior Center – 10 to 11 a.m.
  • Fix-It Friday, Victory Park Senior Center – 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Thursday, December 4 – All Aging Partners Senior Centers are closed for the All-Center Holiday Party at the Auld Pavilion.
