Older Adults Invited to Aging Partners Events December 8 Through 12

Aging Partners invites older adults and community members to a variety of activities and classes in Lincoln and Lancaster County from December 8 through 12:

 

Monday, December 8

  • Holiday craft series; make your own festive bar of soap, Belmont Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Harpist, Heidi Beran will play holiday music, Washington Street Senior Center –10:30 a.m.     
  • Fit for Fun BINGO, Victory Park Senior Center –  10 a.m.

 

Tuesday, December 9

  • "Famous People of Nebraska” presentation by Jackie Strahan, Eiseley Branch Library, Belmont Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Chair yoga with certified yoga instructor Chery Bieber, Belmont Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • More games, brain teasers and adult coloring, Bennet Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • Increase your flexibility with chair exercises, Bennet Senior Center – noon
  • A Victorian Christmas: learn about the Christmas traditions that started during the Victorian Era that we still do today, Northeast Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Search for the hidden pictures, Washington Street Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Wii Bowling, Victory Park Senior Center – 10 a.m.

 

Wednesday, December 10

  • Blood pressure checks by Traditions Health (Lincoln), Hickman Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Live music with Denise Howe, Hickman Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • BINGO with UNMC nurses, Washington Street Senior Center – 10:30 a.m.
  • "Tips, Trick and Recipe Ideas for Using an Air fryer" presentation by Devin Mueller, Aging Partners, Washington Street Senior Center – noon

 

Thursday, December 11

  • “The Importance of Hydration” presentation and blood pressure checks by Bryan nursing students, Belmont Senior Center - 10:30 a.m.
  • Art with Anna!  Easy beginner painting techniques. Northeast Senior Center - 10 a.m.  Space limited to first 10.
  • Holiday Carols Sing Along, Victory Park Center - 10:00 a.m.
  • Music of the “Quarter Notes”.  - 10:00 a.m.  Washington Senior Center
  • Music of Denise Howe, Bennet Senior Center - 10:30 a.m.

 

Friday, December 12

  • Musical performance by Mary Link, Northeast Senior Center – 10 a.m.
  • Special project with students from St. Joseph Catholic School, Washington Street Senior Center – 10 a.m.
