Published on February 24, 2025
Residents are invited to the University Place Subarea Plan open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 27, at the Gathering Grove, 2649 N. 48th Street. Parking is available on St. Paul Avenue and in the public parking lot at North 47th Street and St. Paul Avenue. There will be no formal presentation.
The open house will include stations with City staff available to discuss content and recommendations in the Subarea Plan. Refreshments will be provided.
The University Place Subarea Plan is an opportunity to take a comprehensive look at the University Place Neighborhood. The Subarea Plan presents a strategic vision for the neighborhood and provides a framework for achieving that vision. It addresses a variety of topics including land use, housing, transportation, economic development, appearance and placemaking, and other neighborhood enhancements.
When completed, the University Place Subarea Plan will be adopted as part of the Lincoln-Lancaster County Comprehensive Plan. Examples of other subarea plans in Lincoln include the Downtown Master Plan, North 33rd and Cornhusker Subarea Plan, and the South Haymarket Neighborhood Plan.
