Aging Partners History Lunch Events Begin in April

Aging Partners invites adults age 60 and over to register to attend monthly History Lunch presentations beginning April 7. All events are at noon on Mondays, at Gere Branch Library, 2400 S. 56th St. 

The Aging Partners events are brown-bag luncheons featuring informative historical presentations by some of Lincoln’s favorite historians. There is a $5 sack lunch fee. Seating is limited and reservations and payment are required by calling 402-441-7158 by noon the Monday before the event. Reservations are required even if you are not having lunch.

The History Lunch schedule is as follows:

  • April 7 – What is Historic Preservation? by Jill Dolberg
  • May 5 – History of the Piedmont Neighborhood by Ed Zimmer
  • June 2 – History of the Havelock Neighborhood by Jim McKee
  • July 7 – Important Historic Sites Around Lincoln by Stephanie Rouse
  • August 4 – History of the Eastridge Neighborhood by Ed Zimmer
  • September 8 – Nebraska State Historical Society by David Bristow

Lunch payments can be made in person at the Aging Partners Victory Park office or sent to Aging Partners, Attn: History Lunch, 600 S. 70th St., Building 2, Lincoln, NE 68510.
