Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that work to repair and replace traffic signal equipment is scheduled to begin this fall at seven intersections. The signals were damaged by severe weather and vehicle crashes. Each project will restore safe, reliable signal operations and ensure the continued safety and efficiency of Lincoln’s street network. All projects are currently in the design phase and awaiting parts, some of which are in high demand due to storms that affected many cities.

To complete these repairs, street lane closures will be required. Sidewalk and pedestrian crossing closures may also occur at some locations. LTU will provide advance notice and updates as construction approaches.
