Published on May 13, 2025

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) invites residents to a virtual public meeting on Wednesday, May 21 regarding a street improvement project that will invest in repairs to Nebraska Parkway from 48th to 56th streets. An online presentation about the project will begin at 5:30 p.m. Visit lincoln.ne.gov/NEParkway for the meeting link and more information.

The virtual public meeting will share plans for the project. Improvements will include full reconstruction of the existing surface with new concrete pavement, base repairs where required, curb and gutter, and median surfacing. There may be some minor bridge repairs included in the project.

Members of the project team will be available to answer questions and provide an overview of the project, as well as information on the planned improvements, project phasing and the construction schedule.

A Zoom link will be available up to 15 minutes before and during the meeting. For those unable to attend the meeting, a recording of the presentation will be available on the website Thursday, May 22.

Construction is expected to begin in late May or early June and be completed in late fall 2025. For more information on this virtual public meeting or the project, visit lincoln.ne.gov/NEParkway.
