Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) invites the community to celebrate National Public Works Week, May 18 through 24, to recognize and honor LTU’s essential workers. This year’s theme is “People, Purpose, Presence.”
LTU Director Liz Elliott praised LTU team members for their commitment to serving the Lincoln community, emphasizing how their work is driven by the core values of people, purpose, and presence.
“Our LTU team members dedicate themselves to serving the people of our community through essential services in transportation, transit, and utilities,” Elliott said. “Our team members’ sense of purpose drives their hard work. They may not always be seen, but they remain ever present enhancing city services year-round.”
The community is encouraged to celebrate Public Works Week by thanking an LTU team member in person, or on LTU’s Facebook or X pages. Tag LTU at @LTULNK and @LTULincoln.
