Lincoln City Libraries today announced that “Color our World” is the theme of its 88th annual Summer Reading Challenge. Registration begins Friday, May 23, and the challenge runs through July 31. To register, visit lincolnlibraries.org/summer-reading-challenge, any library location or download the Beanstack Tracker mobile app.

All registrants receive a free ticket to a Saltdogs baseball game and a single-entry pool pass for the 2025 City of Lincoln pool season. To complete the challenge, participants must read for 10 hours, complete eight of 20 activities, and visit a library four times.

Those who complete the challenge can enter drawings for $100 prize packages to area businesses and earn discount and free item coupons. Participants can also earn tickets for logging reading and activities. All tickets may be devoted to one prize package or spread out over several prizes.

All challenge participants will be entered in a drawing for two separate grand prizes of $250 each for performances of the winner’s choice at the Lied Center for Performing Arts for the 2025-2026 season or a ninth generation iPad.
