Aging Partners Health and Fitness and BikeLNK will co-host “Bikeshare 101,” a series of interactive learning sessions designed to promote Lincoln’s Bikeshare system and cycling to Lincoln’s seniors. Events begin at the BikeLNK station located near the Jayne Snyder Trail Center, 21st and “Q” streets.
Each event will include a lecture introducing and explaining Lincoln’s bikeshare system followed by a group ride to explore some of Lincoln’s bike trails. Sessions are limited to 10 participants and registration is required by calling 402-441-7575. Electric bikes, conventional bikes and helmets will be provided at no charge.
The schedule is as follows:
“The goal of Bikeshare 101 is to share information and increase the comfort level for seniors,” said Hunter Arias, BikeLNK City Manager. “Our e-bikes are great for those who may not have biked in a while or may be uncomfortable on a standard bicycle, so these sessions are a great opportunity to try one out and learn how to use them at any time.”
