Community Invited to Take Field Trip Across Lincoln

The Parks and Recreation Department invites the community to participate in a program this spring and summer that encourages visits to local museums, parks and other local attractions. The Field Trip Across Lincoln program runs now through September 5, and offers prizes such as classes, family memberships, posters, puzzles, artwork and more.

Participants visit each location and follow activity instructions in the official passport, which is available at participating sites or at go.unl.edu/fieldtriplnk. Visit five or more destinations then complete an online form for a chance to win fun prizes. Prize winners will be notified by September 30.

Participating sites include:

  • Lincoln Children’s Museum – 1420 “P” St.
  • International Quilt Museum – 33rd and Holdrege streets
  • Pioneers Park Nature Center – 3201 S. Coddington Ave.
  • LUX Center for the Arts – 2601 N. 48th St.
  • Lower Platte South NRD Marsh Wren Saline Wetlands – South of 40th Street and Arbor Road
  • Nebraska History Museum – 131 Centennial Mall North
  • Sheldon Museum of Art – 12th and “R” streets
  • Great Plains Art Museum – 1155 “Q” Street
  • Morrill Hall, University of Nebraska State Museum – 645 N. 14th St.
  • Lincoln City Libraries – all branches
  • Lincoln Children’s Zoo – 1222 S. 27th St.
  • Prairie Pines – 100 N. 112th St.
