Mother’s Day Bird Walk set for May 11

The Pioneers Park Nature Center invites community members to the Mother’s Day Bird Walk Sunday, May 11. The event costs $5 and will be from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Nature Center, 3201 S. Coddington Ave. Registration is required by Thursday, May 8, by contacting the Nature Center at 402-441-7895 or naturecenter@lincoln.ne.gov or by registering online at lincoln.ne.gov/PPNCprograms (keyword: bird walk).  

This program celebrates Migratory Bird Month in May and Mother's Day with a short walk at the Nature Center. This event will include a relaxed exploration of the wetland and woodland areas looking and listening for springtime birds. Participants are urged to bring binoculars and may borrow them from the Nature Center.
