Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that eastbound Pine Lake Road between South 27th and South 29th streets will close beginning Monday, May 12, for a Lincoln on the Move street improvement project. This work is scheduled to be completed by mid-June.
The recommended detour is South 27th Street to Old Cheney or Yankee Hill roads. Access to businesses will be maintained via South 27th Street to Porter Ridge Road or via westbound Pine Lake Road and South 29th Street.
Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and take the following steps to help reduce travel delays:
LTU appreciates the public’s patience during this closure and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
Lincoln on the Move is a quarter-cent sales tax street investment effort focused on enhancing Lincoln’s street infrastructure.
