Several Streets to Close for Special Events Beginning June 6

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that portions of several streets will close for special events beginning June 6. The closures are as follows:

Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8 – Havelock Block Party

  • 62nd Street between Platte Street and Havelock Avenue

Saturday, June 7, 6 to 11 a.m. – Havelock Run

StarTran Route 41-Havelock will be detoured during this event.

  • Northbound 70th Street between Adams and Fremont streets
  • A southbound lane of 84th Street between Havelock Avenue and Adams Street
  • A westbound lane of Adams Street between 70th and 84th streets
  • Westbound Fremont Street between 63rd and 70th streets
  • Havelock Avenue between 62nd and 84th streets
  • 63rd and 68th streets between Fremont Street and Ballard Avenue

Saturday, June 7, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. – Nebraska Whiskey Carnivale

  • “P” Street between 16th and 17th streets

Saturday, June 7, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. – Bandit Run Car Show

  • Canopy Street between “Q” and “R” streets

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution during these events. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during these events.
