Portion of South 48th Street Now Closed for Water Main Repairs

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that South 48th Street between Sumner and South streets is now closed for water main repairs. Water main and street repairs are expected to be completed by Friday, July 18.
The recommended detour is “A” Street to 56th Street to South Street. Access to homes in the area will be maintained via South Street.
StarTran Route 53-SouthPointe will be detoured during this work. For more information on StarTran routes and detours, visit

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure. LTU appreciates the public’s patience during this closure and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
